Speed camera for Dairy Flat

A new speed camera will be installed at 1680 Dairy Flat Highway soon as part of an Auckland-wide rollout. The speed limit in that area is 80kph.

The Dairy Flat camera is one of nine to be installed around Auckland from mid-June, and more will be put up later this year.

These are NK-7 cameras – a model already used by Police in their static/fixed speed camera fleet. They measure the speed of vehicles passing the camera and identify which lane they are travelling in.

The cameras are part of the Road to Zero road safety strategy, supporting a vision of no deaths or serious injuries on our roads.
